Hello In my car i have a pioneer KEH-P4600R radio cassette head unit that can also control a cd changer. The cd changer i have is the pioneer CDX-P25 6 disc changer. ok i have connected the pioneer ip bus data cable to the head unit observing that the blue end plugs into head unit and black end into the changer. I have also grounded the black cable that comes with the p bus lead. This just now leaves me with the fused power wire thats yellow in colour. It may be a daft question but where do i connect it to ... so that when i turn on my car head unit it powers the changer? now coming out of the back of the head unit its connected using the iso block conector there is an orange wire the splits in to with a empty connector plug on it... Im wondering do i put the yellow wire here into the orange? As in the instruction manual on the Head Unit is says... (Orange) to terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position. And the instruction manual on the CD Changer... (Yellow) to terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position. I thought i'd check with you before i blow a fuse or do other damage! Many thanks for your help in advance! The standard color for a constant 12-volt source is yellow, however, older Pioneers did use an orange wire. So you are correct, attach the yellow wire from the changer to the orange wire on the HU.
Hello Ranger SVO, Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to answer my question... It really is appreciated. It had me puzzled as although the radio/cassette head unit is rather dated and the cd changer although old ... is newer than the head unit. Ok many thanks... I'll connect the yellow wire coming from the cd changer to the orange wire coming from the back of the head unit. Kindest Regards, John
