I think I put my first post in the wrong forum, I put it in the general one and should have put it here?

Any way What are some good sub choices for a 2008 Silverado with a regular cab and the 40/20/40 split bench seat? I need to keep the center section as a seat and I need full legroom for both front seats.

    What fits?

I am building a full stereo for my friend. He has a NBS 2007 Regular cab truck. The problem with the new body style regular cab trucks is that they have less space to work with behind the seats than the OBS -'06 Silverado and Sierra's. Subthump.com is the only company that I have found that not only makes a great quality box that rivals alot of boxes, but they seem to squeeze every bit of airspace and mounting depth possible out of a box. I have had 2 of their boxes. The box I have in my truck is their ultra deep crew cab box. They made an extra notch on each side to be able have a mounting depth of 6.5" which is the deepest I have found than any other box manufacturer.

So if you are wanting a box for your regular cab truck, then go here.

    http://subthump.com/Chevrolet-GMC-S...-Style-GM-Regular-Cab-Box-With-Amp-Space.html

Gives you .7 cubic feet of airspace per subwoofer. For a 10" sub, you have a mounting depth of 5.5" and for a 12" you have a mounting depth of 4.75". They have a few different carpet coloring options for you to match your truck and for an extra $30, they can incorporate a raised "Silverado" logo for you if you wish. Shipping to Texas is $44. This box weighs 34lbs and is a big box so they are really billing you the actual shipping cost instead of making money off of your shipping cost.

If you go with a 12" sub, you will have to go with a subwoofer with a lower profile so you wont be able to throw a gigantic amount of wattage to it or you can go with a slim profile 12". I emailed them about this and this is what Steve, the owner of Subthump said. "...if you are looking for some superb sounding subs that play really low and hit incredibly hard, these subs work great in that box http://subthump.com/Car-Audio-Products/Subwoofers/MB-Quart-RLP-304-12-Shallow-Subwoofer.html check them out."

You can get the amp, subwoofer and the box all from subthump.com fairly cheap.
