I pulled a pioneer avh-p5000 out of a wrecked car I bought from an auction and wanted to install it in my car. Problem is theres no faceplate for it and I'd like to know if it was going to work before i bought the faceplate. So my question is if I'd be able to test it out without the faceplate?
faceplate? Do you mean the actual screen or the dash kit with adapting wires. The dash kit and wires you will have to buy separate based off of your car model. You can pick them up on amazon cheap.
Im missing the decorative plate that goes on the front of the unit. here are few pics of what came out of the car. Are there any wiring diagrams out there for this unit so i can understand it a little better. Just looks like a cluster of wires. Hopefully those pictures work. Thanks for the help btw.
