Car audio help! subs work/ speakers dont.

    This has been an on going issue in my 99 mustang. I have a brand new sony HU thats all hooked up and it only plays my subs, i take out the rca's n nothing plays at all. so my amp is the only thing working right..

    what kind of problem could this be? Checked my fuses. Wiring is all correct. im stuck.:(

    Sounds like a bad HU, unless the wiring isn't correct. If it's brand new, can you return it or exchange it?

    what is powering your speakers? the head or an amp?

    No, it is definaly not the HU. The HU is powering the speakers.. im still stuck.

    Does that car have a factory amp? Whats the part number of the plug your using?
