Hi all, I realize this is an OLD piece of electronics, but have a Clarion 700-EQA Equalizer, and am desperate need of the wiring diagram for it. It is installed in old car and wiring is messed up and not labeled, would like to get it wired right. Been all over the Internet and nothing, so hoping someone here can help me find a diagram for it. Am ok with wiring, just need to know which wires are inputs/outputs/etc. Thanks in advance
if you could give a description of all wiring, colors, stripes on wires, DIN or RCA ins and outs, etc.....I am sure me or another could help you out. I dont remember, is this a passive or amplified EQ?
Hi, thanks for the reply. Thinking what I will do is take a picture of the wiring, it is out of the vehicle now, so can take a picture of the wires, plugs etc and then go from there. I believe there <used> to be RCA plugs on coaxial wires, but since been snipped (wires still thre though). Yes it is Amplified EQ. Please give me time to get the picture, no camera here at the moment. I will upload it to my server and provide the link. Thanks again for the quick response.
Ok...if it is powered then you should have..... White, white black ...front right spkr Grey, Grey black...left front spkr Green, Green black...rear right spkr Purple, Purple black...rear left spkr yellow...battery voltage, can be tied into radios memory lead red (if it has it) ignition voltage blue...remote turn on from radio black...ground That should be the speaker and power wiring. If the rca plugs were cut, then you will need to do a bit of soldering....
Update, Letting you know that with your help, I managed to get the EQ wired up, thank you for the help, it is much appreciated.
By the way, it is in a old 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera which I am getting ready for my Daughter's first car (it is in Awesome shape, paid 300 bucks for it), only 100,000 KM on it. now have a descent sounding stereo in it, thanks again.
you are very welcome! thanks for letting us know all went well! Too many folks get what they want and leave never too be heard from again...never knowing the end result
