I have built a overhead speaker box for my yamaha rhino and need some speaker advice. I had plans on running 2 6.5" subs and 2 4" 2 way speakers in my box with a small amp. I didn't know if this is the best setup or should I run 2 - 6 1/2" 3 ways and 2 - 4" 2 ways for better sound. I know u guys r experienced in car stereo set-up and i know u all know what will sound the best. I am wanting some bass but not so much that it blows my hat off as it will be right over my head. I am looking for a good bass sound with clear vocals as well. Can u guys help out with what u think would be best.
I also noticed that some guys suggested a package for a car in a forum that is made by POWERBASS. R these good systems or should I look at other companies. I seen that POWERBASS has a set-up with 6.5" subs, tweeters and crossovers for about $89.00. Let me know what u all think.
well i would like to but the space is very limited and the cubic measurements will only allow a 6.5 sub or some 2 or 3 way speakers. I am leaning towards the 6.5 subs and some 4" 2 way speakers for my highs but everyone on here seems to have alot more experience on speakers and combinations. Everyone on here also knows about brands where I dont. I havent been in the stereo stuff since early to mid 90's as to which fosgate was the best. Thats been awhile ago.
yeah I will get some this weekend and post some. It is a cool box and hopefully I can find the right combination of speakers to make it sound good to. I am gonna rhino line the outside and that will also seal it up from the weather also.
