Is this a sign of a bad amp and sub combination? Ohms are right but excursion kills my power.

Why would it cause the system to shut off? I've had many setups...none acted this way.

If your system actually shuts off, it's probably a wiring issue. Maybe there's a short in the wire or switch on the hatch that turns on the interior lights when it opens. If you can more clearly explain what's happening you can probably get a better answer.

I went over my wiring with a dmm and checked the voltage at given points while a test tune was playing. The voltage at my batteries was 12.09 under load but at the amp terminals it read 11.68. I'm running 1/0 ga wire for my amp ground and power wire. The ground is grounded to the bank and is maybe 16" long. The power wire is prob around 2ft long.

Tell me about the enclosure. Port size and port length. Enclosure size. Post a picture. Why is the box not maintaining control of the woofer?

Also, why is excursion so important. Excursion robs power.

I got easily into the 160's with this set up and the woofers had an Xmax of only 10mm or was it 10.33mm

I isolated the system from my car lol. I wired everything up in my shop and used my phone mp3 to connect directly to the amps rca input. Subs flexed to the max and was powerful enough to move the 400lb setup on the floor. Would a bad deck or rca cable cause the problems I wad having? Without them it performed flawless
