So I used to be into car audio and due to having kids, I have not bought anything for 10 years. I now want a low priced decent sound, here are my options. My brother can get me a great deal on all Fosgate products and I am considering 1 or 2 subs, 10" or 12", not sure yet. I can get the P1S412 12" Fosgate for $59.99 new P1S410 10" Fosgate new for $57.99 new I have never had only 1 sub, can 1 sub in the trunk of a 97 accord be ok sounding? I have 2 6x9 Kenwoods and 2 Kenwood 5 1/4. All 4 can handle good power and I wanted to know if Fosgate made an amp that can power the 4 speakers plus a sub or 2. The amps I am looking at. I used to own Punch long ago and loved them but I see they make Prime now also. Prime R150 $61.00 new Prime R300 $102.00 new Punch 200 $99.99 new Punch 300 $155.00 new What amp, amps should I get? 1 cheaper 1 for the inside and 1 for the sub (s)? I would love to spend under $250. Punch 300
Could aRockford Fosgate Prime R300 run my 2 6x9's on channel 1-2, use channels 3-4 bridged to run the sub, then use the head unit for the 5 1/4? What kind of sound would that have and what kind of power would come from the 2 bridged channel's?
run the 5.25's off the amp and use the head to power the 6x9's. run the rear amp channels bridged to the sub. the sound depends on the install.
Ok thanks. I called my brother and he can get me the following, are they a good match. RF Punch 300 mono amp $119.99 (1) RFPunch P2 P2D210 $89.99 Prime R150 amp $62.00 I can use the Prime for the components and the mono to the sub. Is the Punch 300 to much power for a P2 10"? Also, I have never ran just one sub in my life, can only 1 10" sound as good as my brother says it can?
