I have a phoenix gold ti 12d and i'm wanting to build a 2.75 cu/ft SQ box tuned to 25hz. which are the specs. that site recommends for it. i have a mtx te 1501d that will be powering the sub in my 08 4dr toyota tacoma. i'm not the greatest with math and formulas so any help to make this buildup as painless as possible would be great. thank you

I can design a simple box for you, but here is the problem. Tuning that low will result in a really long port. Any reasonable size port will be more than 30-inches long. Even if I increase the box size the port will still be really long.

This box is large but it needs to accommodate a 36-inch long port.

The outside dimensions are 12-1/2-inches tall, by 34-inches wide, by 20-inches deep. Now I increased the box size slightly because as the size gets smaller the port gets longer.

The port will have an opening of 11-inches by 3-inches. It will need to be 36-inches long.

Follow the method here for building the box http://www.caraudiotalk.com/audio-forum/showthread.php?t=7031

I agree with Ranger SVO - that's a long port! I know Atrend carries a heavy duty line of boxes (SPL line?) I believe. I was looking for something similar.... the box I bought was the SPL-12SV. Its cubic is 2.5 and hz is 43. My RF T1 cranks!
