    Hi Guys,
As they say on the radio talk shows... Long time listener, 1st time caller.

I just had a DDX 896 installed in my 06 Civic and am having a few problems.

    1) the incoming phone sound level is so low you cannot hear it, is there a volume control in the menu... I saw the volume control for the mic's outgoing volume which is good for the people taking my call.

    2) only one channel is working for my fronts that are connected to a 300/2, while my rear speaker are working fine with the DDX's internal amp... the JL amp is working fine, when I switch the RCAs the sound goes to the other channel.

    3) radio reception is terrible compared to the OEM Honda deck.

With the relatively hi output of 5v on the Kenwood, should I be using the hi level or low level inputs on my 300/2 and 500/1?

    Hey there Guys,

I tracked the problem down to the front wire harness for the RCAs had come loose and popped out of the back of the head unit.
After re-connecting that firmly into the DDX the front channels both work perfectly.
As well, the audio for incoming calls come in loud and clear, and I now see that the level is controlled by the main volume control.

Radio reception may not be as bad as I initially thought, it may be just a little particular about certain spots... after driving around a bit more, it is mostly pretty good.
