Hey.. I'm sure you've all seen the ice chest stereo's which seem to be all the rage these days. I'm building one with an old second hand Dual headunit. My question is this.. how do i deal with the ignition wire? I've got my ground and memory wires connected to the negative and positive leads, and i've tried putting the ignition with the +12v, with and without a switch, however the headunit never turned on.. anyone have an ideas? some units need an antenna hooked up too to power on. make sure you didnt blow the fuse in the ACC wire too.
Solved the problem - there was a bad alligator clip i was using. Thanks for the input though.. and i highly recommend this as a weekend project. Total cost was around 20 bucks, and that was just for the ice chest. Found everything else second hand.
