I have a memphis audio pr1x1000 amp 1000w@1ohm powering a 12'' RE SEX dvc 2 ohm sub 600 rms wired parallel in a ported 2 cubic feet box tuned 33hz. I set the amps output voltage at 24.5 at 3/4 volume using a 50 hz @0 decibel test tone.When i turn the volume up 1 or 2 above 3/4 the amp goes into protect mode also the sub does not seem to hit that hard. Anything i am doing wrong?
The ground was attached to the floor pan when i uncovered it looked like the installer had not ground off the paint ,after grinding the paint i turned the volume to 3/4 and turned the bass up to +5 at the head unit and the bass slams.THANKS A MILLION
