My Pioneer Nav unit broke for the 4th time. Yes, I've mailed it in 3 times at my expense. Yes, I paid Pioneer to fix it twice! Not again not going to "F" with it anymore. It has to be the most expensive POS I've ever bought.

Anyway needed to vent. I'm looking for a good but inexpesive DVD head unit. Looking around 250 to 300 tops. Eyeballing the Boss BV8975B or the clarion vz300. I know I'm going cheap but just need a unit to run movies, play mp3s. Anything else I should look at before I buy?

    Thanks

Clarion makes some nice tvs. I used to have the clarion vrx750 i believe. It was nice and simple to use, and the tv was clear. Any clarion is good.

I've got a 13" pull down screen. So, I'm thinking about going with the Clarion don't really need a screen in the front but the Boss does look nice.

I kind of figured the Boss was the bottom of the barrel. I ended up going with a JVC avx44. I got a good price on a factory refirb. Hopefully, from the reviews it should serve my purpose.
