I have two JL 12w3v2-D4 in a dual chamber sealed box and today when I was testing them with a new bass cd I made and they seem to be out of phase. I then checked my wiring numerous times and I seem to have it wired right( I have them wired to a 1 ohm load in parallel). This link shows how I have them wired http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/12W3v2_MAN.pdf
the amp you have puts out 500watts @ 1ohm and your subs are a total 600rms. first i don't think the kenwood would put at the rated power, it may be a little less than rated but i'm kinda confused cuz some sites says it's not 1 ohm stable while other says it is. here's a wiring configuration @ 1ohm. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42#results why do you think they are out of phase? what kind of box do you have the subs in? how did you set your gain? LPF? bass boost?
yes thats how they are wired, and they are out of phase because one sub is going in while the other is going out...if that makes sense. When I know they should be both hitting at the same time/going in the same direction. I explained in the first post about what box its in(sealed, dual chamber the fits the specs on the subs). I can't remember off the top of my head about the gain but I did tune it awhile back and I think it was about a lil under half or a lil over. LPF at 125 and the bass boost is off.
swap one of the subs wiring. if that doesnt help then remove the subs from the box and double check the wiring there. you may have one coil backwards??
