i just picked up a pair of 10" visonik subs in a box for $15 and i just need to know what amp i need. sorry i dont know how many watts the subs are but i found something just like what i got here. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_20014_Visonik_VB210PKG.aspx
visonik subs aren't really good but they were only $15. what's your budget for a amp? if you can find out the model of the visonik sub then that would be good. kinda hard to pick out a amp if we don't know what the subs can handle, also we gotta know what impedance the subs are. are they single coil? 4ohms each?
im not sure and i know there not great but they were a good deal and im not looking to spend a fortune. as cheap as possible and they are single coil 4 ohm and i do know that the amp that came with them was garbage and the guy i bought em from said it burnt up after like a month but he said it was an 800w amp like on the link
that amps was prolly 800watts max which means nothing.. lol the link said it was only 200watts rms which i highly doubt too. so the good thing is you don't need a lot of power to get them working. so they are single coil 4ohm, so if you wire them parallel then your impedance will be 2ohms. or you can get a 2 channel amp and wire each sub to 1 channel or bridge the amp. here's what i found that are cheap and worth buying: http://cgi.ebay.com/1250W-POWER-ACOUSTIK-OV2-1250-2Ch-Car-Amp_W0QQitemZ350341223211QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item5191f6d32b http://cgi.ebay.com/AUDIOPIPE-APSM-1150-600W-MONO-Car-Audio-MINI-Amplifier_W0QQitemZ390183285454QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item5ad8bc72ce http://cgi.ebay.com/SOUNDSTREAM-Di300-1-MONO-D-600-WATT-Car-Audio-Amplifier_W0QQitemZ230452541519QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item35a80ab84f http://cgi.ebay.com/SOUNDSTREAM-Di475-1-MONO-D-475-WATT-Car-Audio-Amplifier_W0QQitemZ390172912435QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item5ad81e2b33 http://cgi.ebay.com/PHOENIX-GOLD-V752-2-Ch-RYVAL-AMP-V-752-RODIN-AUDIO-new_W0QQitemZ360249411017QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item53e089c5c9 the first link if you choose that, you will wire each sub into each channel 2nd link you just wire it in a 2ohm configuration 3rd link 2 subs into one channel 2ohm configuration 4th link same config as teh 3rd link 5th link is a mistake, pay no attention to it. lol
wow when you say you dont want to spend a lot you mean it. that has to be one of the worst products out there. at least you only spent 15 on them, and when you power them up it will sound like it. you get what you pay for. i know that sounds dickish, but your audio choices are terrible. its like the old adage a cheap tool is an expensive tool. meaning it will break and if you keep buying cheap it adds up. save up for a decent pair of subs and an amp. hell even the hifonic 12's for 30 each is going to be a better choice. you can even run them on about 300~400 watts total and be very happy. i would find a good amp and run it to those subs you have now and start looking for some better subs. in your jeep you could do a 5cf box tuned to 30HZ and be happy.
