hello, i have a 2008 subaru impreza. I am familiar with systems and know a little bit about them. i recently bought all power acoustik. my amp is the bamf2000/1d, my sub is a p3-10, and i bought a cap which is a 2 farad. i know people dont like caps but oh well. my question is this. am i going to have a enough power to run this in my car. the amp will be wired to 1ohm, practically 1000rms. i have 4 gauge wiring.
if they are dimming at 600, a 1000 watts and 1 ohm might kill your alternator. How many amps does your alternator put out?
It depends on how power hungry the amp is.I had a 900 watt rms@2ohms amp(hifonics bxi1208d)that drew way more power than my 1000wrms@2ohm alpine m1000.My lights were dimming so bad that I could hardly see the dash lights.I have no dimming at all with the alpine.
