Audio Virgin, need advice for my show car..

    Guys, I am brand new here and doing a sound system in our 2010 Camaro.

    I know a lot of you are audiophiles and like to get some experience..

    I am only getting 2 - 12s and a mono amp. What would you go with...

    I have sponsor...listed below and a great deal on the Hertz.

    1. Hertz Energy and EP-1
    2. JBL GTI and high end JBL amp

    Now, JBL is looking to sponsor my car so the cost would be less with JBL. Is the Hertz line that much better? If so, please let me know why...

    What would you recommend, even if not above let me know your thoughts...

    BLVD Customs will be doing the install!

    Welcome..

    Both brands are good, not if your going for more SQ (sound quality) i would go with the Hertz line. Hertz has better SQ than JBL.

    So you'll either go straight JBL or straight Hertz? components, subs and amps?

    for me, i would go with Hertz but that's just my opinion. take it for what it's worth.

    I've heard both hertz and JBL, i find that JBL's component speakers can get muddy midbass at times while hertz doesn't.

    with subs, for me subs are subs.. it would all depend upon the box.

    Blvd will build the optimum box for either setup.

    I will go with all Hertz or all JBL.

    I want to "Feel" the bass when I turn it up and still want to hear words while I am in my car...

    It is around 100 dollars more for the Hertz setup. Except Hertz is the middle line with Energy vs. JBLs top of line GTI.

    both are solid brands

    I would say let your own ears be the judge. listen to both and make your decision. their maybe some characteristics that you like or would not like with each so have a listen to the two brands then choose. I would listen closely to the component speakers, again subs are subs and either one you'll be happy with.

    the component speakers along with the amps really make the set up. if the components are not to your liking then you'll never be happy with the set up. it won't matter how much bass you have.

    Before, i had really good bass but i wasn't totally satisfied with my DLS comps. I later changed to Focal and i loved my system til i got sick of my car.
