Well, you really can't have 2 dvc 4ohm subs wired to 2ohm load. It's either a 1ohm or 4ohm load: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=2&woofer_imp=4 With that being said, how do you know it's not the amp?Have you tried a different speaker off of the amp?Make sure you know what ohm load your presenting to your amp,and check all of your fuses and wiring for the amp.
ahhh thats probley where i went wrong they are hooked 1ohm but anyway the gain on the amp is 3/4 up and no bass boost was used on amp didnt sound distorted or anything (never sounded peaked is better to say i guess) but from what i hear these subs are crap good thing i didnt pay much for them (they were wired this way when i got them) but they are for sure blown they are rattling if you will (sandpaper on steel)
now another quick question what would happen to this amp if i had a 2ohm dvc wired to .5ohms or would that be 1ohm? would it kill it i have another sub that is dvc 2ohm it is 2700 max and 1500rms any ideas (sub is a power acoustik mofo 12) (just one in a 2.0 ft ported box)
