I have a problem with the bass in my car i have a boston g510-44 in the factory g-tuned box that replaced a low cost bazooka party box that had two 10s and a 300w max amp it sounded good for 170bucks i bought a 8ga amp kit for it well after i got the boston g5 i got a phenix gold xenon 400.1 amp for the sub that hit really hard for about six months i had a local audio shop hook it all up then it just sounded real weak so i tweaked with the amp and head unit that worked ok then it started to act weird at low volume it sound good but after i would turn it up the bass would sound like i turned it down i checked the subs ohm it was at 1.7 it is a 2ohm sub it would also bottom out at higher sound levels so i looked at the wiring job of the shop omg the ground was on painted metel not bare metel and the mono amp was going through the 4ch amp and they used 10ga for the wire so the 8ga i brought to them they kept so i got a 4ga power wire and got a distriution block and wired the mono amp and the 4ch amp with 8ga it does sound alot better now but the problem is still there just not as bad so if any body has any idea of what i should do next please help out sorry for the long blog.

Go bitch your a s s off to the audio shop for doin such a poor crap a s s job with your eqpmt. also, tell them about what hapened with the wiring kit u bought and they STOLE. They SHOULD rework everything for free if u bitch enough. If so, then request their best installer.
