Do we have any kicker or JL Audio fans? Im looking for a killer system update. Im trying to debate if I wanna stay with kicker, or change to the JL Audion W7's. 15 inch Kicker L7 vs 13.5 inch JL Audio W7. Which is better?
you're looking at two different subs. the l7 is aimed more towards spl, while the w7 is aimed more towards sq but has good spl also. what are you looking for in a sub??
SPL = sound pressure level. BIG BASS! For me, JL is way overpriced. there are a lot better subs out there.

ive seen and heard both get hella loud and sound good doing it. so my guess is its up to your wallet and personal preference.
since i already have the kickers, i like there style so im thinkin the l7's and they are alot cheaper. will it be competition loud running about 2000 rms?
anything can be competition loud. depends on what your competing in. i only have 500 watts on 4 8's and i compete in bass race in the 120 to 129.9 class. its a race to get to 129.9 db's without going over. its all about control not volume, well as long as you can get to that volume of course.
never was a huge fan of either till i got this kicker l5 the other day. and now im gonna be livin loud for a while. running 500 rms to it and its loud! i wont ever doubt kicker again
