Woooohoooo!!! just got them in last night! I have no work on Monday so Im going to spend the day installing them. Finally!!!! Can't wait to hear how they sound in my truck! I also picked up a set of memphis 15-MCS6's component speakers. Got them pretty cheap used, i think I got them for $40 shipped. They sell for $269 or woofersetc.com and i'm gonna sell em and make a small profit.
sweet! i got the JBL's today and got em in now. they sound awesome although they could be a bit louder. i figure i will run them on an amp soon and change the imaging. the imaging is horrible right now so i will fiberglass them into some doorpods soon.
the JBL's aren't loud enough??? hmmm, I always thought they were pretty loud. try to tune them a little. You still gotta break them in though you know. the sound will get better and louder as you keep using them. How's the midbass?
great! i love the sound of these speakers! ya the suspension of them was pretty still and i am just running them off the HU for testing purposes. i think i will hok an amp to em as soon as i can get one.
oh that's why... Once you hook up those to an amp, they'll really shine jonny. They probably distort easily just being on the decks power. JBL's are a bit power hungry so get an amp that is over the rated power of the components. trust me on that.
ok cool. i blew up that power acoustik amp that i used to have but i am gonna try and fix it. then ill hook em up to that and see how she goes then.
