Liftedrangers new build- 4 15s

Heres some pics of the 6.5s i got and a pic of the visor tvs that are goin the truck also. The 6.5s have blue in the middle so idk why my camera made it real faded.

 

HAHA yea. I should get some more done on it this weekend. Ill prolly go saturday morning and get about 4 or 5 sheets of mdf.

 

Well i did a little bit of work on the truck today after school. I took the back plastic panels off. When i did that, i gained about 1" or so more room for the box to be deeper if needed. Heres some pics. Im ready to get some second skin deadener now.



This is how far my seats will be able to go back when i get the system in.

 

Im just as anxious as yall are to start installing. Im the only one doing any work on my truck. None of my buddies really have time to help when im able to work on it. Its gona be a slow process but its getting there slowly but surely. I just hope it will be worth all this work.

 

Well guys, i had time after work today and i started on the box. :clapping: I didnt get a lot done but its better than nothing. Tomorrow after work, im gona go get some resin and then start on my ports and put some resin on the inside of my box. Heres a few pics.


Test fitting it in the truck. It doesnt go all the way back against the back wall but itll still work out.

Its rite at 8 cubes tuned to 33Hz with 116 sq inches of port. I no 8 cubes aint big for 4 15s but these subs only need 2 cubes each.

 

Well i found out some bad news today. Ive been looking and trying to find specs on my q powers and i even called q power. Well today i found out they are 600 rms. There goes my ideas for the 2000s. i think ive decided to go with 2 9.1s since they are on sale. Ill be upgrading my alt to a 250 amp alt, a big battery up front and prolly another battery in the back to go along with my other 2 i have now so ill have 3 extra batts in the back. Im hoping to see more than 1200 watts out of the 9.1s. What do yall think about doing this?

 

Yea and it would be way cheaper also so i could have more money to do other stuff to the truck also. I think the 9.1s will be coming my way at the end of this month. I just hope they are still on sale by september 21st.
