I'm new to all this so I'm not really sure what amp to get for my subs. I just got 2 Pioneer 10" Single-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer and I'm looking for an amp to run them. Any suggestions? If you won't mind explaining alittle of what I need to look for in an amp, that would also be helpful and would stop me from asking the question again when I decide to upgrade:lol:.
    Thanx

usually you get what you pay for...if it says 1000 watts and costs 100 dolllars...its overrated

If price isnt much of a problem get a kicker 450.1.

When looking for an amp you need to look at RMS wattage=to your subs total RMS and the impedance it runs that power at.

You have two 4 ohm subs so there are some things you need to look at...

If you go cheap, you usually get cheap....You don't have to spend top dollar but what aznboi said is right...

If you run those subs in parallel I don't believe you are gonna be able to find a two channel amp that can be bridged to run them. Two 4 ohm subs connected in parallel will present a 2 ohm load...Bridged amps pretty much will not handle a 2 ohm load....If you buy a stereo amp and run it in stereo, you can amplify each sub on it's own channel...If you buy a class D mono, they will most likely be able to run a 2 ohm load...

It is not important to run subs in stereo since the frequencies are not directional and most bass content is the same in both channels..

My advice is to buy the best amp that you can afford and not skimp..
