I was wondering can you use car subs in your home stereo?
Bc I have a 500 watt stereo in my room, and I was wondering if I hooked up a car sub to it if it would damage the subs, or if it would be distorted or what bc I have an 8 inch jensen sub in a tube box that I was wanting to try?
    Thanks In Advance

well most home amps are 8ohms so if you will be using the sub for HT duty you should wire it at 8ohms...

I suppose you can always buy and make your own speaker boxes rather than buying premade expensive speakers.

Just make sure you use a crossover to feed the subs the right frequencies or it will sound like crap...

I ave two old school kicker comp 12's in a box I made with a plate amp and they rock as my HT sub....killer
