i have a limited budget but am looking to beef up the sounds in my courier ute a bit. its a single cab so it really only needs half the speaker power of most cars to get the same effect. i got a new head xplod head unit and some 4 inch speakers to go in the origional speaker holes but am still wanting more as you could guess lol. anyway i was wondering if say 2 6x9s in a box would fit behind the seat? or where else could i put them? i wouldnt have a clue how to put them in the doors or anything but i could possibly learn. id rather do it myself so i can save some money. or are there better options rather than 6x9s for behind the seat? im new so i thought id ask the more experienced. thanks
what is the exact model of your truck? I'm sure you could fit a sub back there, even a few 8" subs would do.
yup. right next to some 4 inch infinity mids. 10 speakers total up front lower doors are mid bass, upper 6.5's are mids only as are the aforementioned 4's. then 2 sets of tweets. mids and mid bass are active and tweets are passive. its as good of a 3 way i could do.
so you want more midrange sound? or a lil bass too? show me a pic or the inside of your truck please. doors and dash. anywhere a speaker may be able to fit.
mainly just want crisp sound at high volume. thos lil 4 inch speakers start to distort when cranked up. also what are some good settings for the hi mid and low? atm i think they are low-8 mid-7 and hi-6. they go to 10. i was thinking extra speakers so that those lil fellas arent working so hard all the time
wow not a lot of room at all. ima half to say to save a few bucks, go with the 6x9's in the back. or kick panel speakers, but that can get pricey.
I nice set of 6x9's would go great. If your still after more bass go a kicker slimline sub and box with a 400.1 kicker amp.
1 8" sub could do wonders in there, if you have room id cut the doors and do a nice coaxial with the grill over it so it doesnt look weird
