Hello all. New to the forums. I'm doing research on speakers and amps to put a system in my 98 explorer. I've alway put small simple systems in all my cars, buy i am needing this system to be nice and clean. I use the truck for daily driver duty and haul my sons hockey gear around all year round. I'll be posting some question in the appropriate forums and of course using the search function. Thanks Ryan
Thats a sweet looking setup. I would love to do something like that but can't give up the cargo space.
that is very nice ranger... plumcrazylx.. what are your goals for the system? SQ (sound quality), SPL (sound pressure level) or a bit of both (SQL). If you don't want to give up a lot of room then i would suggest going with one sub. maybe one 12"
how bout some 8's lol. i had about 75% cargo room. thats the box shown. i now have 4 and around 60% cargo room. gets plenty loud and deep to.
Well I'm still running factory speakers with and alpine head unit. I want to be able to go a little louder but still sound good. If it came down to quality vs. loudness(is that the same as spl?), I would say quality is more important.
i get both. my enclosure was built for these subs and it has a nice flat response. will play as low as 23hz and rolls off around 75 thats where my mid bass picks up the rest. as far as loudness goes. my mids and highs can get loud and not sound harsh at all.
