ok guys im installing a 16ov.2 and a nine.1 into this car today and i have some concerns that i previously was not told about. it has premium sound, now i have 0 experience with this car. I need to know if i can simply install a HU in it without special connectors or if i were to put a LOC on the rear speakers would it suffer from artificial bass processing meaning poor performance?
i did a system in a toyota corolla with a one of those premium things but all i did was cut the wires off the out put of the factory amp and found which one was which. it worked out good. i dont see anyway it shouldnt work for you.
totally forgot about crutchfield. it just has an extra plug with 2 pairs of RCAs to tie into the stock amp. this system will take a few days and it should be one of my best yet. im working on another system right now to with two alpine type rs dual 4 ohm running at 1ohm off a nine.1
The amplifier is under the passenger seat. In order to make this easy remove the front seat and all your speaker wires will be at the amplifier. LF SPEAKER| wht/blu + - blk/blu RF SPEAKER| wht/red + - blk/red LR SPEAKER| yel/blu + - gry/blu RR SPEAKER| yel/red + - gry/red I think thats right. Any way, if I remember right the tweeter wires are also there. But I dont remember if they were crossed over in the amp or after the amp. If you wanna know how to test for a cross over (once you determine if the tweeter wires are there) let me know. Also if the tweeter wires are there post the colors, I need it for my notes.
