Due to a broken back window, a towing company that doesn't cover cars up, and a lot of rain and then snow, I am in need of some new subs. Thankfully my insurance is covering it, but I'm still going to have to rebuild my floor box and install the subs. I kindof just guessed at building my system originally and it worked out great. I was very happy with it, and I would buy the same subs again but they don't sell them new anymore as far as I know. My original setup: ::AMP:: Sony Xplod XM-2200GTX Max - 400w x 2 @ 4 ohms - 600w x 2 @ 2 ohms Rated - 200w x 2 @ 4 ohms - 250w x 2 @ 2 ohms ::SUBS:: Sony Xplod XS-L1200B 12" x 2 Peak - 800w Rated - 200w Impedance - 4 ohms Enclosure - .6 cu ft So if you can, please make some suggestions for a new pair of subs. The only thing I ask is that they match up with my amp's power (duh), they need to be 12", and their enclosure volume needs to be around .6 cu ft because of my floor box limitations. Thanks in advance.
ohh that looks nice. now i see why you need such a small Enclosure. i should of asked in my last post. what do you need for mouting depth? are you looking for more SPL? are you stuck on sony brand subs and amp?
Mounting depth needs to be around 6 inches. I'm thinking about the Ultra A-12's: http://www.ultrasubs.com/proddetail.php?prod_uid=9 What do you think?
if i were you, i would make it fr 2 10's and use these, if they are financially feaseable for you. a bit pricy, but they will slam hard! http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_21&products_id=34 and http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=44 or http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=47 i promise you that this will be 40 times better than your previous setup!
