I wanted to make a ported box for 2 - 12" type Rs and needed a design, nothing too fancy, just a regular double ported box. Preferably with dividers. Max dimensions: 18h X 22d X 38w Thanks in advance for the help
If you can post a link to the specs of those speakers that would be helpful. I'm gonna be little generic here. For most 12-inch woofers, I like to see 2 to 2.5 cu ft per woofer (you wanna divider), so we need to lose some height. Can we drop the height to 14-inches? Also whats the recommended port tuning for this speaker and what type of vehicle is it going into?

OK, no problem. The port will need to be 12.5-inches tall by 2-inches wide. The port will need to be around 18-inches long. This will get our tuning around 38-40 Hz. Now this is for a box with a divider in the middle.
I'm not sure I understand the question. The port will be 12-1/2-inches tall by 2-inches wide and 18-inches long. Check out this thread http://www.caraudiotalk.com/audio-forum/showthread.php?t=7031 The difference is that your port will not have a turn in it, it will be straight
ohh alright, i got you. that makes sense now. so my dimensions will be 14h x 38w x 22d? with my port being 12-1/2 inches tall by 2 inches wide and 18 inches long?
