Will it be better quality to use a speaker harness? Or will it be just as effective if you crimp the wires and then connect them?

Either way is acceptable. Now if the speaker is in the door, I like to solder wires on the speaker terminals. Then I crimp the wires to the factory wires. This method has proved very reliable for me.

So either way doesn't have a quality advantage over the other? I really don't want to spend money on separate harnesses for my speakers, but if it betters the quality and efficiency of the speakers, I'll do it. If it makes no effect, I'll just do it the old fashioned way and save me some time and money. :)

Might be a good idea to find a F-150 or F-series forum...whatever they call. Search on there.
