My wife's IBM took a dump yesterday so I'm looking for a new one... I wanted to buy a MAC but they don't have any stock where I live (can you imagine that?) so It looks like i have to go with something else because they don't accept my credit card for installment payments...urgh!!! I'm not so much of a computer geek so i need advice on what to get.. It doesn't have to be that fast and I don't want it to break the bank either. I did a quick (very quick) search on the internet and this is what i came up with. Again, I don't know the prices of these yet so I need some help.. My wife doesn't do that much on a laptop... Surfing, checking email, excel and word documents but I do want a built in cam... lol, I just got a compaq. it's not bad at all, the IBM that i had was getting a little old. The speed is more than enough for my wife but she still wants a mac, so once i can afford it, i'll just use the compaq.

Nice site... I couldn't wait to buy from any site and wait for the shipping because I live in the Philippines. I went with the HP Compaq CQ40 and I spent about $900 (electronics are expensive here). I really had to buy right away and I wanted to wait but i just couldn't. oh well, that's the way it goes. Shipping from new egg is amazing no matter where you live, i would get my stuff next day when i lived in Cali, (the sites home is in whittier a couple hours away from where my setup was) and the stuff ive ordered in the last month since moving to iowa here, put it this day i order stuff three days earlier from sonic. and got the new egg stuff 2 days after ordering it, just got the sonic stuff yesterday lol it had been like 8 days, new egg has this psychic team that knows what your going to order before you do and sends it.... atleast thats the only thing i can think of...
