OK I'm new here but I have been into car audio for a while. I have two Alpine Type X 12" with an Alpine MRD-M1005 in a sealed fiberglass box and I need help with this. I'm hitting 140.4 DB now and I want to go to a ported box for local comps. Does anyone know where I can find the plans or at least a calculator for a ported box?

    Thanks or any help!

If you want a ported enclosure for competitions than we need to know the resonant frequency (or close) of your vehicle...what vehicle. and how much space you have for an enclosure

measure from the port to the location of the mic, take 13560 and divide by your measurement. Then decide by 4 or 2 until it is a realistic frequency, then build a box that peaks at that.I think... Haha

Thanks for the recommendations! I checked the RE audio and the only problem I saw was that it doesn't account for the displacement of the sub. I have an 03 Trailblazer and lots of room.
