alright so I want to put a system in my car but I dunno what would sound better. Two 10s or two 12s?

im thinkin 12s but i dont want it too much where u can hear **** rattling.. Even when the trunk is insulated I've been in cars where its just too much bass and it doesnt sound good at all.

the monte carlos are pretty well built cars though. i would go 2 12's and some nice comps up front with some sound dampening. All my parents buy are monte carlos as the main new car in the family.

its all in the damping i guess. i can make my truck rattle with one 8.

x2 with what jonny said. I'd go with 2 12's. better to have more than less. 2 12's will give you more cone area which would mean more bass. If the bass is too much for you then that is what the gain is for. better to be safe than sorry.

what is your budget for the entire system, and do you want to keep your stock HU?

Or you could just buy an 87 cutlass, haha it takes my 2 12's cranked pretty hard to even hear the rattling and its not the trunk, its my windshield vibrating. i guess its time to get some new seals for it.

x4 on what jonny said. a trunked vehicle is more difficult to get loud bass in.
so 2 12's will give you more cone area to move more air.

but the rear seats fold down too... if you are into loud bass i would tell you to IB a 19Ov.2 off a Nine.1
