Just got my 06 honda pilot! Love the truck but the 7 speaker 6 disc stock sound system blows! I've replaced the HU with a JVC Kw-xg700. I got a pair of sony comps for the front and two ways for the rear. I have a 10" MTX for the sub and have a 5 channel 1800 boss amp on the way. My question is with this set up will i need to beef up the electric system or wiring in anyway?

    welcome!

I wish you would have come to us to ask what gear would be good. Sony and Boss aren't very good brands.. Can you give us the exact models of the stuff you bought?

From what i see without knowing the models you bought, all you'll need is a 4gauge wiring kit for your system and I wiring harness for your stereo so you won't have to hack the factory wiring for the stereo.

what he said ^^ . 4 gauge will do fine. you may not have bought the best equipment but if installed properly it should keep you happy for a long while.

Sony XS-GTX 1620S 6.5 Components, Sony XS-GTX1640 6.5 full range,Boss CX 1800 5 channel amp. It has to be better than the stock rig?

I did get a 4Ga. kit, will this set-up tax my eletrical system in my 06 pilot or can I just install without any eletrical modifcations?
