Well, today i found an Alpine CDA-9856. i think it is a 2006 HU but it still looks pretty good. The guy wanted $100 so i told my dad to get it. It also comes with an iPod connector thing. it only has 2V preouts, but in my favor it has 3 sets so maybe a line-driver is in order here for the next setup in the jag. He is bringin it home today! The good thing about being in trouble is that you have alot of time just to look around at stuff.

it is going into my dad's jaguar XJS V12 to 350 Chevy conversion. It doesn't even have a HU at all so no on the amps. lol my dad is gonna buy some new speakers for the entire car so idk if its gonna have amps or anything. i was plannin on a mild, mild sub setup

Sorry, it is really dirty! It has been raining here for a while and haven't had time to do it... The car also doesn't look the best because it is in desperate need of a new paintjob!

We origionally bought the car with the stock V12 in it.after a while i guess a radiator hose blew or something, i dont quite remember (i was rather young to care) but long story short, the motor locked up... The heads melted (aluminum) and dripped into the cylinder and fused the piston and wall together. We could have rebuilt the motor, but instead we decided to put a chromed out 350 in it with a TH700R4 tranny. It was financially the same. I will take pictures as soon as i can of the motor. The motor itself is nothing too special. It is a Goodwrench 350 crate motor we found in the junkyard for like $500. After about 3 years of sitting, we had the motor delivered to our house, cleaned it up, put a bunch of chrome on it and put it in the car using the new motormounts we had made for us. But, with such high gears, it doesn't really matter what motor it has, the car still hauls azz!

this is an old post. thanks tho. and ya it needs more than a little touch up. its getting repainted this summer, before my car to test out my buddies new paintbooth. i finally think i decided on a paintscheme. it will be a 2 tone with red on bottom and black on the top, with a silver pinstripe seperating them for te cutlass and the jag will get the same color.
