    i am getting a 2003 jeep liberty and i curretnly have a Alpine CDE-9874 hu, fi btl sub with a hifonics 2600 watt amp and i know i have to upgrade the eletrical so what i was wondering is what kind of speakers should i get for it and what amp the speaker size in it is 6.5 all around 4 of them and it has two stock tweeters in front budget is 300-500. thanx

    i would keep the rear stock. as far as your front stage; its up to you. i like polk db series speakers myself. the comp set is always on ebay for 99 bucks. the coax set are 49 for the pair. maybe you can keep the stock tweets.

    PG makes a good comp set too. you want to look for the RS series.

    a 2 ch amp for the fronts can be had for 50-120 bucks. i would look for 50 -100 per ch. amp brand is up to you. i myself like my amps to match. so maybe a hifonics amp will do.

    ok coll but will the stocks in the back be ggood enough to keep up with the comp set of polk db

    do you want them to play at the same vol as the comps? if so then no they wont be able to keep up, but as rear fill using the radio power they will add to the music. kinda like surround sound.

    if you do want them to play as loud as the front then a coax set for 50 should work for you.

    try just the comps first. i think you'll like how it will sound.

    thanks for ur help and i found out the reaers they have built on amps some how so theyll prob be good enough so u think pg would be best beat and the stock jeep system is infinity

    if they are infinity speakers then try to just amp them for now. you may be surprised what a little more power can do for a stock speaker.
