I'd only use the Xplods for ground pounding. They do get loud for what they are though I'll give them that.

that'll break your windshield!!! lol... 4 12's at 1000 watts a piece in a little ranger would be sick! sure you want to do that though?

92civic and pedro. i'd take up electro on his offer.

Please don't thread jack...if you have a question make a new thread.

Also "JL W7" is irrelevant to loudness. It is not an SPL subwoofer...many subwoofers half the price can outperform the W7

oh i see. nah im good for now. no spare time this week, its my long week to work. i do have an idea for my yamaha 8 thats been unused for a lil while.

i may just grab some more half inch stuff from work.......or put it in my first box and block off the other 2 holes. 2 cubes ported all by its self??? any thoughts. it would be for HT use.

2 cubes for an 8 inch sub for HT use??

I'd keep it down to 1.5 cu ft tuned low for HT...between 20-25Hz.

back on topic get up some dimensions of the usable space CIVIC and we all will see what we can come up with. Ported owns sealed. Most of the time there is a BIG difference in the sound and depth between ported and sealed.

Idk what you're exactly asking but my box is 12" x 12" x 12" in the inside so 1 cu ft and the outside is like 13.5" x 13.5" x 13.5" .. .. something like that. I hope this helps..

AZN is talking about how much space you have in your car your able to use for a box so he can get some dimensions for the box for you.

Oh, it's barely able to fit the box I have now but I guess it could be longer since the trunk is long...

sorry i had to mention. i put the sub in that crap box i made 2 weeks ago and it hits soooo deep its scary to know its an 8 doing it. ( i blocked off the other openings)

i had a water bottle dancing on the back of the roof. i shot a vid but some how only 2 seconds recorded. will do another tomorrow.

correct me if i'm wrong 92civic, isn't you civic a hatchback? if it is, that has the potential to be an SPL monster, for some reason (i guess the shape of the car) they work out real good for SPL

even if it isn't a hatchback you still have a lot of room to play with in a civic. I've seen some civics here with 2 12's here and although you won't have much trunk space left after, a good box can fit inside your trunk.
