Need a little advise

    Hi guys!

I've been lurking around for awhile trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can. I have to admit, my head still starts to spin when I start looking at specs for different subs. I am hoping to get a little advise as to what would be best for my system.

I have a 24' open bow boat. I have installed a Sony head unit with two wired remotes, iPod interface and Sirius radio. I just recently upgraded the speakers to Infinity 6 1/2" 602M's and added an Infinity 7541A amp.

Now for the thump:cool: I may have put the horse before the cart, but I just purchased an Infinity 611a mono amp that pushes 456w at 4 ohms and 657w at 2 ohms. I plan to build a sealed enclosure of somewhere between .75 and 1 cf. I only have room for a single 10" sub.

So, my question is, what sub would match up with this setup? My budget is around $100. I think I am looking for more SPL than SQ. I am no audiophile by any means and am mostly just looking for the thump. I am seriously looking at the Alpine SWR-1042D http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=SWR-1042D&lang=en&tab=F and am thinking that might be a good match.

Any comments or suggestions of other subs that might be a better match? Thanks in advance for any advise you might be able to offer. I have really enjoyed reading the forums and all of the good information.

    Chris
