What brand/size/length wire would i need to hook up my aftermarket 400 watt amp/subs, and 200 watt amp/mid/tweet. I'm thinking about going with a Rockford wiring kit. Going into a Mid size 4 door car.

I would go with 2/0. Becasue a larger gauge wire is going to have less impedence.

Not to dig this back up but I felt I had to. The edit done by aznboi3644 on my post is completly wrong. The first line I wrote, everything else was not mine. "wire does not have impedance...it has resistance." Sounds like someone needs to look up Ohms law. Not to mention 8awg wire for 600 wrms is good...if you are running it no more than 4ft. Also that 8awg wire amperage cap is 100amps.

Boosh...my bad...wrong button. I had no idea I clicked edit

    Here's my reply

wire does not have impedance...it has resistance.

00 gauge wire is overboard unless you are running 3000 watts. Rockford 8 gauge kit will suffice easily. I used to have a Rockford 8 gauge kit...the wire is very high quality and is more like 6 gauge.

I'd recommend 4 gauge anyways for future upgrades.
