Is it necessary to run an amp to my new door speakers? will that make them sound better? if so, what wattage should i go with?

    its not necessary at all.

if they sound good now they may sound better with more power.

the wattage depends on how much they can handle. a good amp in the 40-75 watts per channel should be fine. go by the rms not the max power handling.

Amp them! I would go with the Rainbow Audio iPaul 4.300 but like pedro said it all depends on your speakers rms

thanks for the advice. i just bought them and haven't actually heard them. i was just wondering if it was absolutely necessary to buy an amp if i don't need to, but i might just go with a kicker to match my other products anyway.

amplifying them will produce a more dynamic sound and of course make them louder and clearer.
