I'm confused. Would somebody please answer this question? I have a dvc 4 ohm subwoofer ,400wrms/800watt peak. I think I want to wire the sub parallel. The amp is4 ohms: 175 watts x 4 chan.
    2 ohms: 350 watts x 4 chan.
Bridged, 4 ohms: 700 watts x 2 chan. What is the best way to wire the amp and sub? Please be specific because I'm having a hard time understanding some of this. Thanks people!

So basically you want to wire your subwwofer to 2 ohms onto 4 channel amp? The only thing I see wrong is that most 4 channel amps do not have enough power to run a subwoofer properly. Can you tell us the model and brand of your amp and sub?

Thanks people, the amp is a Crunch P1400.4. The subwoofer is a Rockford Fosgate Punch P310D4.

OOPS. One thing I forgot to mention is I'm using two channels for the sub and two channels for front speakers. Sorry for the lack of information.

looks like fusing at 50 amp.

probably not efficient at 2 ohms. I'd say that amp can put out 300 clean watts total between all channels.

So basically 75 watts per channel at 2 ohms.

So we are talking about 150 watts for the substage...should be fine with an efficient enclosure. With this power the P3 isn't going to do anything crazy. With the power you have you'd be better off with a P1 if you want to go with rockford.

Or get a 13Kv.2 that is on sale for 50 bucks plus shipping...use one coil and put it in a big ported enclosure

What about if I bridge the two channels? Thanks for answering all my noobie questions.
