So, my friend wants a system in his 2003 Ford Escape, and i said i would hook him up. This is what i had in mind.

    Amp-2 Channels@2Ohms/Sub
I know it says 500RMS but this amp is overrated and i figured on setting the gain down quite a bit.

    Speaker Wire-12AWG
I know its probably overrated in size but idk, this is what he wants and if i have to i will double it up.

I was thinkin we would build a 4-4.5ft.^3 enclosure tuned to about 38, but idk cause he listens to couuntry and rap and rock. Would that frequency be sufficient. I wanna do 2 4in ports, and that is what i need help with. I need to know the length of them, but i will take measurements monday to see what is gonna happen. He wants it up against the backseat so it has to have an angle in the back.

Hey Electro or Azn, could you run that through BassBox real quick to see what it does?

It would be great if i could also get some opinions on the system itself. Will that all work together good. cause i was kinda unsure about the LOC.

no need for the 12 gauge speaker wire...the amp kit comes with 16 gauge which is plenty even for 1000 watts rms.

IRCC Ranger's box for his son for two of the same subs but older versions was around 3 cubes at 40Hz...Ranger said it slammed hard.

If you can fit between 3-4 cubes @ 40hz it should slam hard. Bigger the better though.
