man, for a whole week i have been trying to figure out why my subs wernt knocking like they were sosposed to. thanks to all of yall inputs, i have accomplished the system i was looking for. the wierd thing is that all i had to do this whole time was switch my crossover from lpf to hpf, and turn the frequency all the way down. now for some reason my subs stand the hair on the back of my neck!!!lol....thanks everybody for yall expert inputs.....

dont you mean you switched it from hp to lp? at least a lowpass of 80hz or so should be where it should be set.

i dont think that they knock that hard with the kenwood amp, but its enough to feel in my chest. im sure all of yall systems are breaking windshield...lol so my vid would not even compare.

lol, I'm also a little reluctant to post a vid too. I'm pushing 1200watts to my sub but i don't think it hits as hard as it should. maybe I have the gain too far down.

YOu should post a video, we never make fun of anybody's set up. If it doesn't hit that hard then we can also advise you to getting slamming better.

just a little while ago, pedro was only running 200+ watts to his sub. so, not all of our systems are windshield breakers. I know mine isn't..

we just like to see things vibrate in the car. lol

    like CC said i went from 220 to 350 to 450 now 600-700 watts to my 1 L7 10.

not windshield breaking by any means but it gets loud.

cccullen if your subs "dont sound that loud" then somethings funky cuz i know for a fact what your setup can do to your ears.

I dont think anybody here has a windshield breaking system. I know i don't... Oh ya, I dont even have a system! lol but yall just wait until the FOUR 13kv.2's get installed!!!! ha still prolly wont be a windshield breaking system though. Now, Gohilla may be a whole different story! He has like 8 12's but he also competes. So, longstory short, no one here will make fun of someone elses system because we all spend great deals of money on our stuff, all we will do is tell you ways to make it better and tell you that it absolutely rocks! lol

OH, it does get loud but I was expecting more. I was thinking my headliner was gonna shake and i thought the bass would be absolutely crazy. well, it isn't that crzy. prolly something wrong with my box or im not pushing the subs hard enough.

I think so too. i still have to play around with the audiocontrol cuz I know it's not putting out that much juice. I want to get 8V and i'm sure im not getting that. It's got adjustments to bing up the voltage to a max of 13v but I haven't messed around with it yet. still have a lot of adjustments to do before I really run them hard. I'm just scared of frying them.

take it slow and do more as you learn how it will affect everything. if i had the same setup id wait a while. too be honest i haven't ventured much outside of just having a new HU, an amp or two, and some subs. did one system with 2 yellow tops and 2 13ov.2s and a nine.1 with a pioneer HU, thats about has hardcore as i get lol. i need cash to expand my knowledge. although thanks to azn my enclosure design know-how is decent.^_^
