o.k. I'm trying to hook my little brother up with a bangin system. I bought him a 12" Cerwin Vega Stroker with a 1200 watt kicker amp to push it. The problem is that he drives a 1998 GMC Extended cab, so space has been a little problem. Anyone has any advice on how to build a custom box that'll hit really hard?? I built one that fits behind his driver seat with the top part sitting about 18" above his back seat and wraps around the front of the back seat. I tried to follow the mfg. recommendations of 1.25 cu. ft. It just don't perform like I know it can. It sounds really distorted. I am willing to scrap that whole thing and start over. Please any advice will be greatly appreciated.

no way that monster only needs 1.5ft^3.....check your specs again.....that is a beast for a regular cab truck though.....i would go with 2 12" shallow mount kickers....

My bad, you are right. The box it's actually in is 2.25 cu. ft. I was thinking about dropping it down to 2 cu. ft. and fill it with poly fill, to save a little bit of space. The only thing I don't know how to figure out is the port. Any Ideas would be great!!
