So as some of you may or may not know on june 30th I will be starting school as an auto tech. Technically speaking I am still in high school however I have completed all of my credits required for graduation. Tonight we had our awards night to hand out scholarships, I only got two but they total up to being pretty big. And as many of us know any amount helps. So I received the eugene schmuck memorial scholarship- $1,500 The funny thing is, is that all I ever did after school was work and I only have a 3.25gpa, and I beat out our valedictorian who has extra extracurriculars up the wazoo and a 4.0 as well as about 15 other people. As well as some dead guy that used to work up at our school, the reason I don't give him a whole lot of respect is because I didn't even apply for that one, apparently the school board votes on it. but that one was for $250.00 So my total was $1,750. I'll take it. It makes it that much easier on my parents.
It goes to tuition, which frees up money that I can use elsewhere because I don't have to pay for tuition.
i think he means it goes toward tuition instead of him paying all the tuition he will substitute the 1750 dollars and then tuition will be 1750 dollars cheeper... that prolly didnt help at all. i just confused myself. shut up, its early. lol
im going to school in the fall to be a motorcycle/atv/snowmobile/inboard and outboard technician..and my tools and box cost just over 3,000
Congrats on the scholarship tyrant1014. Keep in mind that mechanics today is a lot more than turning wrenches. An understanding of the technology that makes it all work is a must requirement. You know we have a super good Auto Tech ( Throttletune) here at Car Audio Talk. I'll bet he'll answer questions if you have any
