Hi there, i am planning to buy 6" x 9" speakers for my Honda just wanted to know which one is the best in market. As far as budget is concern its not a problem i am keen to have best sounding speakers for my car which must be drive with Power amp. Would prefer smooth, detailed, and non-fatiguing speaker. Brands in my mind r Polk Audio, Focal, Dynaudio , Alpine etc etc you are welcome to recommend one.. i need your help ...... recommendation would be highly appreciated. thanks Kaz
Welcome!! I have similar to these in my front doors and they are very nice but i'm sure there's better like the names you mentioned, polk audio probably for best sound quality. Infinity Reference 9613i Car Speakers
I have Focal in my car and they are very sweet sounding speakers. I have 6x8 in rear deck so im sure 6x9 would sound even better. I also had a set of Boston Acoustics 6x9's in my Camaro and they were very nice, maybe even better than the Focals. The Polks would probably sound nice as well but I have not listened to their 6x9. What amp will you be using for these speakers??
your better off going to shops and listening to some yourself. as everyone hears differently and will have various opinions
which model of boston acous u had in you car? if we compare polk vs boston which one u think is better? thanks
I'd would say polk would be better but like pedro said, it's better if you would go and listen to see what you like best.
Ha the Bostons that I had were many many years ago, but I remember them being very sweet so what model it was doesnt matter cause they have all new speakers now. As for which is better, everyone will like something different based on their experiences. Yes I like Boston but this time I bought Focal just because they sounded really great in the shop. Also it depends on what you are comparing, such as Bostons Pro series say versus Polks DB line id choose the Bostons. But they are also much more expensive. We can only give you ideas but the only thing that matters is what you like, so like the others said get out and listen.
I would always go with component sets, simply cause you can place the tweeter in the sweet spot, like the other person said use some 2 sided tape and put them all over the car and see what sounds good before mounting. You can get very creative with them, ive even seen them in the center of the dash bouncing off the windshield.
ic but dun u think midbass which can be placed at the bottom of the front doors produce sound which comes from bottom rather than at ear level. to maintain ear level rear coaxials are better.
I really didn't understand what your trying to say. If you want coax for your rearfill (back of you vehicle) then I would say that is perfectly ok. Component speakers produce better and cleaner sound then a coax could so for front speakers i would say you should go with component speakers. Mid bass speakers towards the bottom of the door are still ok because you still have the tweets. at ear level, component speakers are still far better than coax. I'm not sure If i answered you question though.
