Kole is a very low quality brand...even crappier than Power Acoustik. Power Acoustik has a few decent amps though

That JBL sub is a beast and is very high quality. Could you afford a quality 1000 watt amp and decent electrical for it??

 

I agree with Azn that the JBL is a good sub. WE all have our different opinions because we all own different equipment. Azn loves ED, Pedro likes Kicker. I prefer Oz Audio, have you looked at the Oz matrix elite subs??
Great sq subs but can handle a ton of power and really knock. As for amps, trying to stay in your budget id look at the Crunch PZI 3000.1d amp, its made by the same company that makes MB Quart, Autotek and Hifonics. It is the lower line but still a decent amp and 1 ohm stable. Just wondering why you dont like Kicker. Like Pedro I also own a Kicker solobaric and it hits very hard. Just wondering why you dont like the brand, did you have a bad experience?

 

true that....kicker is a great brand. when i got my mtx 5500 10's the L5's were compeating with them i think but i prefered mtx cause it was a brand i knew at the time. but now that i have more knowledge on this subject, kickers are amazing. im an alpine guy now but kickers are a great buy too. better quality then some of the subs ur looking at but jbl is also a good sub as well.

but im thinking electrical means a good amp kit (correct me if im wrong) but if not i have streetwires and other friends have stinger and jl audio amp kits and those are really good

 

Techronics is a horrible online store...Customer service is horrible. Most of their items say "in stock" but you get a call a week later saying it isn't in stock and hasn't been in months then it takes a week to get your money back

 

thats y i never order online...first cause i dont like paypal and i sure dont wanna give my card number out...there are enough audio stores around here to get a good deal...

 

both are basically the same...they use split coil technology which I like.
