Well, I ended up popping my Kenwood KAC-9102D, or rather it WILL not work. A car pulled out in from of me while I was doing about 60, swerved to not him and pegged a curb, AND THE GUY DROVE OFF without stopping Well my friend mandi tried hooking things up again and I saw sparks fly in the back and I have NO idea what happened. Heres what Ive done. Checked the control wire and replaced it with a 12g wire Checked battery fuse Checked ground Sparked ground and batt to ensure power flow. Checked both amp fuses Theres still no power light coming on, I had an electrician look at the amp and he said it was ROCK solid, checked the caps and diodes, etc etc. He couldn't check some of the SCI or something chips, and said it COULD be that. I also have the money to upgrade my 6x9s and amp them so if you could shoot me some recommendations for a new amp, 6x9s and 2chan amp PS. The kenwood amp was powering 1 Kicker CompVR 15" 2005 05CVR154, DVC 4 Ohm, CVR15
Well that depends on the quality and the overall sound performance of the package someone recommends. Probably looking to spend 300-400?
well i am going recomend Rockford Power...T3002 rated power 300x1 @ 2 ohms bridged real power is 637x1 @ 2 ohms bridged
gotta love those rockfords. i know a guy that has 2 punch 45's and 2 punch 150's. the 45's are rated at 22.5 x2.actual numbers are 80x2 4ohms and 125x2at 2. the 150's are soooooo under rated. rated at 75x2.real numbers 300x2 4ohm and 440 x2 at 2 ohm. ouch!!!thos e are the new 25 to life amps.look like the classic oldschool ones.
