    I have:

    (3) JL Audio 12w3v2 DUAL 4 OHM subwoofers

SEALED ENCLOSURE - 1.25 cu. ft. per chamber

Sub Wiring: 3 DVC drivers wired in Series / Parallel for a 2.67 ohm load

    Total RMS wattage: 900w

    -----------------

I need an amp, preferably under $250, but the lower the better, to push all 3 of these subs. I figure that a 1000x1 RMS @ 2 ohms should be perfect. The true wattage should not exceed 1200w RMS. My power is currently running at about 12.5-13.5v while the car is on (I'm working on that next).

Any and all suggestions are WELCOMED. I was advised by the local Car Tunes salesman that "all real amps go for about $1 per watt", so he's trying to sell me this JL 1000.1 for $1,000 and I laughed by self out of the store. Now I'm back to the internet for opinions from those not obsessed with big commercial brand names.

    HELP ME!!!!

yea.. but can't you give your subs TOO much power? or will they just take what they need out of the 1300 watts.

thanks yall, thru price comparison and just having my own darn opinion on stuff I've used, I decided to go with this:

Hifonics has always served me well. No amp problems to date and I've owned Hifonics products since 2004. Got the 1606 for $250 with 6 month warranty. I know they rate at 14 volts, but with the small voltage drop in my car + the 2.6 ohm load, it evens out for a great combo with my subs.

What is the other amp? and why is that screw/nail on the gray amp bent? that POWER ACOUSTIK reminds me of my old one. it was only like 200 watts max i think but it worked very well.

huh? Maybe I don't know what a power acoustik is.

I have 2 Hifonics amps. One titan one brutus....details are on my car domain page... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2582534

that screw wasn't bent, but it wasn't going in at the correct angle. I didn't take final install pics, I just snapped random shots while I was putting the stuff in.

As for the subs, I now have 3 JL Audio 12w3's. Two are v3 and one is a v2.

if you want more SPL than build a proper ported enclosure for those.

Hell two ported will be louder than those three sealed
