I'm looking at this pretty basic head unit for use in whatever car I buy next. I needed something under $100, with green or white backlighting, front mounted auxiliary input (for my 1GB iPod Shuffle, $49 was a deal I couldn't pass up), and mostly black face (I don't like silver faces). This model, cosmetically, seems to be the best unit for me, and it has the MP3 input, green backlighting, and it can be had for under $100. Any other suggestions?
Sounds like a pretty good head unit for your budget. I would tell you to spend a more money on a head unit especially if you plan to add amps/subs etc. in the future. Spend an extra $50 and you can find a lot of good head units with at least 2 sets of preamp outputs. If you spend a little extra money at least you won't grow out of your head unit right away. In the long run, you'll actually save money that way.
